My destination

First off, I'll be flying into Miri, a town described by Lonely Planet as "not a bad place to lay over for a day or two en route to or from the jungle". Not the most compelling description, but as I'll be going pretty much straight into the jungle, its perfect for me.  Miri is at the northern end of Sarawak, close to the nation of Brunei.
